Colonel John Russell is a decorated army officer who served on the U.S. show jumping team as an officer and a civilian winning numerous international accolades and Nations Cup titles in addition to Olympic honors. His contribution to the development of equestrianism, which involved rewriting the U.S. Cavalry’s Manual of Horsemanship, extended to the U.S. Modern Pentathlon team as a coach. He has been a respected official in all three Olympic disciplines. His achievements have been recognized with accolades and inductions to add to his military honors. John continues to teach aspiring horsemen and women at his equestrian center in Texas…
