Mom Hebert's Chocolate Cake
——-Dry——
- 2 1/2 c AP flour
- 2 c sugar
- 1/2 c Hershey's cocoa powder
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
—–Wet———
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 c veg oil
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 c buttermilk – substitute buttermilk combine 1c whole milk + 1 Tbsp vinegar, let stand for 5 minutes

- 1 c fresh hot coffee

- Combine wet and dry ingredients, then add coffee
- Mix slowly to combine, batter will be very thin
- bake in 9×13 greased & floured pan for 35 to 40 min at 350
- Frosting of your choice
