Memorial Day Weekend is a special time as we honor those who selflessly sacrificed their lives for our freedoms. The weekend started out Friday, May 26, 2023, with the 49th Annual Windy Ryon Memorial near Fort Worth.Clay SmithandJunior Nogueriawere 35.36 on five head to take home the Open title.

Casey Allen, host of our sister podcastThe Breakaway Breakdown, was on-site at the 14th AnnualDanny Dietz Memorial Classicin Decatur. She caught up withTyler WadeandJake Long, the Twisted X Open champs who roped five head in 30.28 seconds.

The weekend continued in Buffalo, Texas, with theCody NesSmithMemorial Team Roping.Dustin EguisquizaandTravis Gravestook the win with a 28.28. Last but not least, thePriefert Ranch Open Ropingkicks off Tuesday, May 30 and will belivestreamed on Roping.com.
