Madison Outhier is the definition of cowgirl tough following a scary horse accident that saw her mare come over backwards on her in the asphalt parking lot at the Days of ’47 Rodeo in Salt Lake City.
In an interview on The Breakdown Podcast, Outhier detailed the series of events that led to the fateful incident on July 18, 2024.
A broken collarbone, fractured ribs, a collapsed lung, and a lacerated liver were among the injuries Outhier sustained. Despite the severity she remained conscious following the accident, supported by fellow rodeo competitors who quickly came to her aid including Marty Yates and ICU nurse Tacy Webb.
