Reigning Breakaway World Champion Shelby Boisjoli-Meged clinched her first-ever Cheyenne Frontier Days Championship with a 3.7-second run on 2x Horse of the Year No Wimpy Turns, known as “Onna.”
A $16,280 payday at Cheyenne broke the dry spell in Meged’s summer run, which has seen her catch calves for small checks or “miss them for a lot of money.” Meged says this win has given her confidence a boostâand she’s ready to tackle the second half of the summer run.
As of Aug. 6, 2024, Meged is sitting No. 3 in the WPRA World Standings with $94,961.
